Event your friends are attending
Figure out a way to connect your friends to events they are attending and linking it to the map of where the locations are and a link to the events page.
Figure out a way to see facebook events happening in your friends various hometowns to see if there is anything interesting happening there that you might want them to keep an eye out for, for you.
Or having your hometown map of friends and scrolling over friends to see what events they might be attending in the future and where they are located on the world. To get an idea of where they might be going in their local area.
Still trying to think of other interesting and yet possible ways to connect your friends hometowns to their events, or events in their area that you may be interested in knowing more about.
Covering events with the map of hometown will act to the social side of the assignment.

Question regarding the design bit
hey,
I don't have tobis messenger add. Need to know if i should bother with the colour scheme, if its even possible etc.
Also, was wondering what other funtions
(that we wont have ready by the crit) I could do a mock up of in flash or sumthing so that the
general idea and how the social aspect of the site will work.
.. so far all I understand is that we're able to pull basic information (maybe pics) off FB and place them on
the map according to location?
Different colours representing the different 'connections' ,
and were we going to do the short message thingy??? or is that all?
..please let me know, and if i should do ANYTHING? I really dont mind really...just let me know. I will make the marker thingy, but noooo idea what the pixel aspect ratio is needs to be..and if we can?...

Wiki Updates
Hi Guys
Just to let you know I've started putting the titles and stuff for the wiki onto the page. Might be worth doing a bit now while its relatively quiet.
Toby and Mish - I've done a development and a design heading for you guys. Might be worth just recording anything interesting you've discovered there like the special language that you need to use for Facebook or the fact that google gets sad when you hack their maps. Mish you could put some sketches up of ideas/prototypes etc...

APIs
Facebook looks fine to get information out of. I've just been playing with the developer test application, and it seems that I can get the stuff we want out just fine.
Update: I've looked at Google Maps, it appears that I should be able to make the markers to go on a Map as well.
Hooray!
So shall we go ahead with this plan?
